SANTA CRUZ + ISABELA 5 DAYS 4 NIGHTS

The itinerary can change by operation or weather, or regulations of the Galapagos National Park.

 DAY 1.  Transfer in – Ferry to Isabela Island

Upon arrival to Baltra Island, transfer in to Puerto Ayora, about 40 minutes drive. Boat toward Isabela Island. Transfer to you hotel, visit Flamingos Lagoon.

DAY 2. Sierra Negra Volcano  – Tintoreras Tour

Early breakfast.  Hike to Sierra Negra, the world’s second largest active caldera. Lunch. In the afternoon visit Tintoreras

Short boat ride to the small Islet Tintoreras within Isabel Harbor basin, to observe the endemic Galapagos Penguins, the only penguin that lives in equatorial region, pelicans, blue footed boobies. Walk across the islet to admire the bizarre lava formations, walking along the trail you can observe colonies of marine iguanas between the rocks or under the mangroves.  Passengers can practice snorkeling or kayaking through crystalline turquoise water inhabited by white-tipped reef sharks, marine turtles, sea lions and marine iguana. Return to the hotel. Dinner. 

DIA 3. Ferry santa cruz/ Estación Charles Darwin + Grietas y alemanes

Early in the morning 05h30 am pick up from your hotel to the docking bay to take ferry to Santa Cruz Island , about 21/2 hours. (breakfast on account of passenger).

Visit to Charles Darwin Station to learn about the conservation and preservation of the islands. Lunch. In the afternoon walk to German Beach, taking an aquatics taxi at docking bay of Puerto Ayora, the sand is yellow and mangroves, you can take there a bath. Walk 15 minutes to Grietas, where you can take a bath. Dinner. Overnight

DAY 4. Tortuga Bay  – free Afternoon

Breakfast, visit Tortuga Bay An hour walk in a paved trail surrounded by Opuntia cactus.  Most likely see some interesting bird life including: mockingbirds, finches, flycatchers and Smooth-billed Anis. The trail emerges at Playa Brava, beautiful white sand beach with strong waves perfect for surfing. Here is where sea turtles nest.  Heading west side of the beach the waters are calm and pools form a low tide, great for snorkeling. Following a trail you can find marine iguanas and offshore you will see sea turtles.  Back to hotel. Lunch. Free Time. Dinner

DAY 5. Transfer out – Gemelos

Early breakfast. Drive towards to take a short hike to visit the two volcanic craters known as Los Gemelos, located opposite each other on both sides of the road leading to Baltra.  These formations were created by the collapse of surface material in underground fissures and chambers. They are not real craters, only figurative.  Continue the road to Baltra Island and transfer out to airport.
