SANTA CRUZ + NAVIGABLE TOUR (FULL DAY) 5 DAYS 4 NIGHTS

 DAY 1.  Transfer in  –  Charles Darwin Station

Upon arrival to Baltra Island, transfer in to Puerto Ayora, about 40 minutes drive. Check in at Hotel. Time to unpack and lunch.  PM: Afternoon visit to Charles Darwin Station to learn about the conservation and preservation of the islands. Dinner. Overnight at Puerto Ayora.

DAY 2.  Santa Fe Island  – Hidden Beach

Departure: Every days 08:00 AM – Return: 15:30 PM

Here it is interesting to observe colonies of sea lions, land iguanas, fork-tailed seagulls, terns and petrels. A trail leading into the heart of the island takes you to a forest of giant cactus and palo santo trees. After this visit on land, you can swim and snorkel. Wet landing. Lunch

HIDDEN BEACH

After breakfast, navigation 30 minutes to Hidden Beach, white sand, it is a beautiful spot full of marine life.

Back to hotel. Dinner

DAY 3. German Beach  –  Grietas – Highlands

After breakfast, walk to German Beach, taking an aquatic taxi at docking bay of Puerto Ayora, the sand is yellow and mangroves, you can take there a bath. Walk 15 minutes to Grietas, where you can take a bath. Back to hotel. In the Afternoon visit El Chato o Manzanillo Ranch where you can observe giant turtles on natural conditions, hike through underground natural Lava Tunnel formations to provide unique view of the volcano forces that formed the islands.  Return to the hotel, dinner.

DAY 4. Tortuga Bay  – free Afternoon

Breakfast, visit Tortuga Bay An hour walk in a paved trail surrounded by Opuntia cactus.  Most likely see some interesting bird life including: mockingbirds, finches, flycatchers and Smooth-billed Anis. The trail emerges at Playa Brava, beautiful white sand beach with strong waves perfect for surfing. Here is where sea turtles nest.  Heading west side of the beach the waters are calm and pools form a low tide, great for snorkeling. Following a trail you can find marine iguanas and offshore you will see sea turtles.  Back to hotel. Lunch. Free Time. Dinner

DAY 5. Transfer out – Gemelos

Early breakfast. Drive towards to take a short hike to visit the two volcanic craters known as Los Gemelos, located opposite each other on both sides of the road leading to Baltra.  These formations were created by the collapse of surface material in underground fissures and chambers. They are not real craters, only figurative.  Continue the road to Baltra Island and transfer out to airport.
